This still from Firebird (2023) is of the magnificent land-crier Laura Pasetti! Much like a town-crier who makes public pronouncements, a land-crier speaks for the natural land of a place rather than just the local human settlement

Laura is also a talented theatre director, writer and actor, leading the ecotheatre charity Theatre of the 7 Directions (formerly Charioteer Theatre) who recently wowed audiences with 'Nettle & I' featuring Keryda, Alessandro Guetta and a nettle plant

Posted • Those of you local to The Park Ecovillage Findhorn may remember French musical duo .music.plants from their performances during The Park Ecovillage community’s 60th birthday celebrations last year. They were talk of the ecovillage during one of the busiest, most fun-filled weeks in recent memory.

By hooking up electronic sensors to plants, they translate signals from the plants into music for our ears, and play along with them using their harp and double bass/cello. Evoking at once the wonder of modern technology and the ancient intelligent life of plants, they are an artistic embodiment the principle of 'Co-Creation with Nature'.

In a moving moment, they performed a song with a tree on the site of where the Community Centre was, inspiring local people to dance and sing along with the tree. Experience similar beauty as they collaborate with Laura Pasetti’s nettle friend in her new ecotheatre play Nettle & I on Wednesday November 8th 7.30pm at

Nettle & I - a heart-filled true story about Laura Pasetti's friendship with a nettle plant.

See for the first time a non-human actor share the stage equally with a human actor. They will be joined by musical duo Keryda who use electronic sensors to create music from plants. They will also be playing cello and harp.

This preview of Nettle & I is brought to the stage of Universal Hall Promotions by Theatre of the 7 Directions and Teatro del Buratto with sponsorship from Findhorn Bay Holiday Park.
