Congrats to Benjamin Brett who has just started full-time professional ballet degree at RCS. Benjamin has been dancing with DFA since he was a wee lad and progressed successfully through the RAD grades and vocational ballet examinations up to Advanced 1 level and we are so immensely proud of him! 🩰

Good luck Benjamin, we can’t wait to see what you achieve at the Conservatoire.

🩰 EDINBURGH FESTIVAL & FRINGE STUDIO HIRE AVAILABLE!

We have two large studios. Each has a piano, wooden sprung flooring, mirrors and barres. The upstairs studio is flooded with natural light from several large windows. Both are equipped with modern audio/amplification equipment.

We also have a kitchen and cafe conservatory area, male & female changing rooms and toilets.

Studio sizes:

Studio 1 (upstairs: 40 x 27ft - 12.2 x 8.2m)

Studio 2 (downstairs: 35 x 28ft - 10.7 x 8.5m)

We are located in Stockbridge, a short ten minute walk from the city centre and the West End of Edinburgh. The city centre is serviced by almost all bus services, trams and two train stations: Haymarket and Waverley.

The cost to hire one of our studios starts from around £25/hr, depending on your need and frequency of hire. Please contact us via social media for more details.

SUMMER UPDATE 📣

🪩 DFA will be offering a limited number of ballet and tap classes over the summer holidays (30/6/25 to 8/8/25). If you are interested in booking during this period please book and pay online by following the link below (you will be able to see details of all the classes offered via the link). Please note tap classes will only run on 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th July 2025.

DFA will be closed for the summer during this period and responses to emails might be delayed. Therefore DFA will not be taking any bookings for the holiday classes via email or any payments via bank transfer. All bookings and payments will be online.
