Gm. Months of work condensed into four images. Early concept. Work in progress. Finished painting. Live exhibition.

The goal wasn't to simply paint another Adam and Eve. It was to ask what happens when surveillance becomes the new Original Sin, technology becomes the new Temptation, and the audience becomes part of the artwork through real-time generative AI.

The painting watches you. Then you enter the painting.

Gm. I didn't set out to make a self-portrait but the more I look at this GLiFS composition, the more it feels like one.

1⃣ The juggler represents the reality of my life right now. Projects, ideas, responsibilities, a move to Portugal, and new opportunities all happening at once.

2⃣ The strong figure reflects how I'm feeling at this stage. Optimistic, energised, and ready for whatever comes next.

3⃣ The figure with two eyes represents the balance between internal vision and external reality. One eye on imagination and the other on the world as it is.

4⃣ And finally, bottom right, the creative engine. Ideas flowing in, thoughts connecting, patterns emerging, and something new being sent back out into the world. The artist’s journey.

Separately they're just glyphs but together they feel familiar. A surprisingly accurate snapshot of who I am right now. Congrats Efdot on a really cool and insightful project and artwork!

Here we come nonfungibleconference! At Edinburgh Airport. Fingers crossed the airport strikes don't mess things up too badly for us in Lisbon. 🤞

On a beach in Lisbon, as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, it struck me that nonfungibleconference is so much more than a conference.

It's a reunion of dreamers, artists, builders, collectors, and friends who somehow found each other through this crazy web3 phenomenon and then turned it into something real.

This NFC Beach Party photo by the brilliant Luke Gerbil isn’t about floor prices, hype or headlines. It’s about the late night conversations (some that lasted till sunrise lol!), the shared meals, the shared struggles and the collaborations that never would've existed otherwise. The most important part for Violet and I are the friendships that have grown stronger year after year.

In a space so often distracted by noise and endless timelines (f**k the algo!), NFC reminds us all what actually matters. The people and the moments we spend together.

Some of the friendships in this photo will last a lifetime. Some of the conversations we had then and from past events changed the direction of careers and projects, and none of that can be measured on a chart.

Tomorrow we start all over again!

I can't wait to see everyone, share a drink, give some hugs, hear what you've been building, and create more memories. Because when the markets fade and the hype cycles pass, this is all that remains. And this is what life is about.

See ya’ll in Lisbon! And thank you once again, John Karp and team! ❤️☀️🏖️

My recent exhibition transformed painting, stained glass, sculpture, installation and sound into a living system of interaction. Inside a graffitied dystopian church environment, viewers engaged with the AI entity LOGOS as the exhibition observed them in return. Surveillance, faith, rebellion and immersive technology merged into something far beyond a gallery show, challenging viewers to question their relationship with technology itself.

What happens when you stand in front of a room filled with people from the traditional arts, institutions, education, creative tech, and culture… and start talking about NFTs, AI, cryptoart, AR hijacks, digital ownership, hype cycles, and why some of the “worst ideas” of my career became the foundation for everything that followed?

Tomorrow I’m keynote speaker at the Creative Tech Scotland Gathering at the Edinburgh Futures Institute in Edinburgh. Popped in today to see the space.

Honestly, I’ve no idea how this is going to go 😅

The whole talk is built around creative risk, ridicule, disruption, perseverance, and how artists navigate technological change before culture eventually catches up.

Should be interesting. Wish me luck!

Stepping inside The Titanium Angel. 🤯

No longer just viewing a painting but becoming part of it through real time AI generated animation. Audience captured and transformed into my steampunk world and cast onto a 65" screen beside the painting. This is where my work has been heading since my 2011 QR code oil painting experiments to AR, NFC tags, AI, blockchain etc; where the painting is no longer image alone but as something immersive, generative, physical and digital.

And an experience to be shared where the audience becomes part of the narrative and meaning is formed in real time between the artwork, system and viewers.

Working with David Oxley Art, we’re building this for my keynote, The Museum of Failed Predictions, at the Creative Tech Scotland Annual Gathering on May 14 at Edinburgh Futures Institute.

Afterwards, The 320 x 180 cm Titanium Angel triptych with immersive experience will be live at the Venture Café after party.

Hope to see you there so you can step inside the painting too.

Early QR code art, 2011–2012.

I created a series of QR code oil paintings that linked to an online gallery and global artist network. Exhibited at Edinburgh Art Fair in 2012.

An early exploration of interactive and physical-digital art. And still scannable! 🤳

In March 2022, the Guardian Angels programme was introduced to bring collectors and supporters closer to my work through a range of benefits, including early access, exclusive releases, and discounts.

Over the past few years, the programme has played an important role in building a strong and engaged community, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who joined and supported this journey.

As my practice evolves, with a growing focus on larger systems and immersive environments, it has become clear that the Guardian Angels programme has fulfilled its purpose as part of an earlier phase of my work. For this reason, the programme will now enter its final chapter.

Final Phase: All existing Guardian Angels benefits will remain fully active until 31 August 2026.

As this chapter draws to a close, I want to ensure Guardian Angels remain connected to what comes next. Members will receive priority access to upcoming releases, including early opportunities to participate in future projects such as .
