In 1926, Lauriston Castle was bequeathed to Scotland by its last private owners, Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Reid. We're marking the centenary of the bequest with a series of six special film screenings of titles both made and set in the 1920s, starting with Buster Keaton in 'The General' (1926) - https://www.facebook.com/mediascot/events

Frances Priest: Motif | Line | Colour is now open at Blackwell - The Arts & Crafts house. This mid-career survey of Edinburgh-based Frances Priest features work from the last twenty five years of her practice.

‘Imbrication’ is a generative artwork originally co-commissioned by Aberdeen Performing Arts and New Media Scotland’s Alt-w Fund with investment from Creative Scotland for the refurbished Music Hall in Aberdeen.

We were delighted to see it so elegantly installed inside this beautiful house overlooking Lake Windermere. It is accompanied by a number of ceramic forms from the ‘Imbrication’ series, that used the animation as a tool.

The exhibition continues to April 11th 2026 and is included in the house entry ticket. For more information visit lakelandarts.org.uk/events/frances-priest-motif-line-colour
