No More History Without Us (2024), by Priscilla Brasil and Raphael Uchôa, explores how racism and colonial thinking helped create the notion of the Amazon as a “demographic void” incapable of speaking for itself. A necessary and urgent story, told by Amazonian voices, that challenges dominant narratives.
We are pleased to present this screening as our final event in Latin Connections in collaboration with Kayeb Amazonia, with support from the Consulate General of Brazil in Edinburgh and the Guimarães Rosa Institute.
