Hello and Happy New Year to you all.
Hope the year ahead brings you happiness, good health and lots of dancing!!

As the new term commences at Dancebase (DB) on Friday 10th January, thought I'd give you some dates for your diary, if of any interest to you.

I will be holding Improver Workshop sessions at DB on the following Sundays - 26th January, 23rd February and 30th March between 10.00 - 11.30am. These sessions are for anyone that attends my classes on a Friday night and is with partners. The aim in these sessions are to learn / re-learn / improve the steps and technic. These session are limited and booked via Dancebase.

With the success of the practice sessions at the Lifecare Centre, Stockbridge, the following Sunday's have been booked: - 16th February and 16th March between 3.00 - 5.00pm. These can booked with myself at DB and again has limited spaces to give you the space to dance. Cost per person will be £12.50 or £11.00 concession and must be paid when booking your place on the register.

Hello dancers and hope you all had a lovely summer.

Our Autumn Term at DB has started and thought I'd let you know that our practice sessions for this term are booked.

These sessions are great for practicing technique and figures with Jane and I there to answer any questions or briefly recap steps.

Dates for the sessions are:-
Sunday 20th October and Sunday 17th November
Lifecare Centre (Stockbridge), 2 Cheyne Street, Edinburgh, EH4 1JB. Time: 3 - 5pm.

Cost per person: £12 or £10 concession (cash only) and can be booked and paid at class.

Thank you to all the 'Friday ' dancers who gave me the lovely flowers, card and Dobbies vouchers last night on my last day of teaching at Dancebase. This marks 50+ years of teaching 30+ at Dancebase and 27 years co teaching with Marina. I feel truly blessed to have been able to have met and taught some wonderful people over the years. However will look forward to seeing folk at the Got2dance sessions next term.

We're just now starting to gain numbers for the dancers who would like to join us for our Spring Sessions - on Sunday 18th February and Sunday 17th March. This term we are asking everyone to again confirm their details with us - name, telephone numbers and email addresses so we start a new register for our sessions. As always payment is either through BACS or cash on the day - £12 / £10 conc per dancer..

And - We're back dancing for this term. Hope that everyone had a great summer.
Our Got to Dance sessions are Sundays - 15th October and 19th November from 3 - 5pm at our usual venue - the LifeCare Centre in Stockbridge, Edinburgh.
We welcome all dancing couples - who should have a little proficiency in Ballroom and Latin to make the most of the practise session.

Dancing into the Summer - at Dancebase.
We have our two classes running in Studio One, starting on Friday 5th May.
Join us with your partner for 8 week term of Social Ballroom and Latin learning how to lead and follow the core dances to enable you to dance with everyone!
- Ballroom Basics - 6.25pm - 7.25pm - which is for those with little or no experience .
- Ballroom Blitz - 7.30pm - 9.00pm - which is for those who wish to improve their ballroom and latin skills, polishing and adding new moves.

Hi all dancers!
We're looking forward to our first session of 2023 - which will be on Sunday, 12th February from 3.00pm - 5.00pm at the LifeCare Centre in Stockbridge.

Please email me on my new email - [email protected] if you would like to come along if you cannot add your name to the list in class.

Couples are able to practise their dancing in Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep together with Cha cha, Rumba, Samba and Jive with Marina and I giving individual coaching and assistance as requested as we go through the afternoon.
All levels of dancers are welcomed although you do need to have some basic knowledge of some of the dances.
