We have a new show! and it's premiering in Ballarat this October for Melbourne Fringe !
DEGUSTATION - A celebration of sensation - food, circus and shared experience served up close.

This new work brings contemporary circus and cuisine into one shared sensory experience. Created with chef Shu Liu of Shu Restaurant , the show unfolds like a tasting menu: a degustation of circus, where each course invites its own unique moment of delight.

Seated around the stage, audiences eat five courses from Shu’s award-winning degustation during the performance. Acrobatics and cuisine meet, sharing a language of the immediate and the sensate: flavour, weight, heat, breath, timing, texture, and touch. The churning mind can take a night off. This is a performance for the body.

We've wrapped up our season at Gyeonggi Arts Center in Suwon, Korea. This is our second time performing in this lovely theatre and it was such a fantastic venue for in Common's international debut. We are always so touched by the friendliness and support of the staff at Gyeonggi through the language barrier and look forward to continuing to build our relationship with them and their lovely audiences.

We also want to give a big shout out to Melbourne Fringe, Gasworks Creative Precinct , City of Maribyrnong , Fed Square , Flying Fruit Fly Circus and the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) who all helped support the creation of In Common back in 2023. It is support from organisations like these and the adventurous people that work in them that allow us to dream up and actualise works like In Common, that can then go on to represent Australia on the international stage.

And finally none of this could happen without our amazing cast! Thanks always for being the best humans to work with

By a Thread returns to Ed Fringe after a sold-out 2025 season! Long spools of white rope run through industrial pulleys and wrap around bodies. The show weaves virtuosic acrobatics through moments of confusion, hilarity, romance, playfulness, fear and friendship, uncovering the threads of connection present in all relationships.

Australian circus at its best, By a Thread is an exploration of trust and risk six meters above the ground.
