A word from Reyes, one of our directors:
‘We wanted to tell that certain things can’t be told, just felt. Some of us grew up breathing commotion, slyness and the stomach pains of our land. Some of us learned this through books and others from what our grandparents told us. Thank you grandparents. We wanted to show what real poverty is and portray how the people of Spain survive it. How flowers and poetry help us through, and the humour that surrounds it all. Visceral, raw and absurd, a play that reflects the Spain that we have. It is the deepest drama, both a criticism and a smile. I sincerely hope you enjoy seeing it as much as we did creating it.’
Opening night is TONIGHT! 7pm, Assembly Roxy Upstairs!
