Introducing the amazing Demi (he/him) playing DAVID.

Demi is a London/Nottingham based actor with recent credits including Malcolm in Nottingham New Theatre’s ‘Bedroom Farce’ by Alan Ayckbourn, and Serge in Nottingham New Theatre’s ‘Art’ by Yasmina Reza. He is currently a 3rd Year Philosophy student studying at the University of Nottingham. He is very eager to explore what the world of acting has in store for him.

Introducing the incredible Stef (he/him) as LIAM!

Stef is a Leicester based actor, with recent credits including Male Multirole in Letter for Letter’s ‘It’s Not Rocket Science’ and George in ‘Scuttlers’ at the Nottingham Playhouse. He is currently an assistant workshop leader with the Television Workshop where he is assistant directing a short film for their 2023 film festival. He is excited to explore acting and other parts of the creative industry further.

David and Liam are just two housemates, best mates even, in their final year of university. They’ve been through thick and thin together, rugby wins and losses, bad dates and even worse dates, and the all-nighters that come after a forgotten deadline. But is that enough to sustain their friendship? 

After a new guy joins the rugby team, the boys are divided and difficult conversations are started, but never really finished. 

Initiation is an exploration of how two young men navigate a world that’s asking them to step up and how they choose to do so, if they try. Informed by responses from twenty men, this play is a work in progress designed to spark conversations about what allyship is in today’s society.

We've been working with some amazing actors and creative collaborators to create this over the last few weeks, so can't wait to share our work in progress with you and see what you think!

It's 2023 and with the new year comes a new play, and we need your help to bring it to life!

We're exploring male allyship and what that looks like for men in the modern day. We can't wait to collaborate with two incredible actors for this, as well as you! We're asking for anyone who identifies as male to fill in our survey, that takes between 15-30 minutes to complete, about their thoughts and experiences.

We'll use your responses to help devise the play, inform the characters, and help develop our own perspectives in the process. More details are included in the description of the form, but all questions are optional and anonymity will be maintained unless otherwise requested.

The play is currently planned to be performed in Nottingham in mid-February, so we're asking for all responses to be submitted by Sunday 15 January.

'It's Not Rocket Science' 2022 Tour is COMPLETE! A massive thank you to this incredible team, everyone at all of the venues, and each and every audience member that came to see the show! ⭐

1 show in Nottingham where we started with the lovely
2 shows in Buxton in the Rotunda Theatre dome on the hottest days of the year 🥵
3 shows in Manchester at The Empty Space (did someone say SPACE)
3 shows at the gorgeous little in Camden
then the big one...
12 shows at with (SPACE!)

It's been such an amazing time and we can't wait to empower more young women and educate everyone about women in aerospace engineering 🚀

'It's Not Rocket Science' follows Eve as she grows up loving science and space, to an adult where she is still battling with the age-old stigma that 'ScIeNcE iS nOt FoR gIrLs'. It's thought-provoking, bias-challenging, and still light-hearted 🚀

Created using interviews we did with over 20 inspirational women in the aerospace industry, Eve’s story is a combination of all of theirs, and you hear some of their recordings throughout the play 💫

Catch us at the Edinburgh Fringe at 3:10pm every day from now til the 27th (excl. 21st) at theSpaceUK, Symposium Hall, Annexe Theatre. Ticket link is in our bio 🙋‍♀️

We are launching our final fundraising push for Edinburgh!

We are aiming to raise £1000 towards our final costs to get It's Not Rocket Science to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from the 15th - 27th August!
