Celebrating by shouting out all the fabulous females but in particular, super alto Audrey Paterson who was not only word and music perfect at this weekend’s practice but also, was singing her heart out until the small hours on Sunday morning; all the more impressive, considering her recent week of radiography treatment. Abair rionnag a th’ innte 🤩

P.S Exciting Còisir Alba performance news coming soon!

Abair tlachd agus urram a bh’ ann seinn aig Cuirm Beat the Drum ann an Glaschu aig deireadh na seachdain. Talla làn gaoil agus spèis do agus an cuid ciùil - abair dìleab ❤️ Seo blasad den òran àlainn aca ‘In Search of Angels’.

A clip from Friday night of the glorious In Search of Angels, performing with Beat The Drum - The Runrig Experience in the sold out Glasgow Concert Hall. Hearing 2,500 people celebrating the songs of Runrig was something truly special and we felt honoured to be a part of it. What a legacy they’ve left us & what a joy to be part of the Runrig experience ❤️

Dealbh no dhà bho chuirm na Pàrlamaid Disathairne / A few behind the scenes pictures from Saturday’s event celebrating 25 years of the The Scottish Parliament.

Chòrd e rinn gu mòr pàirt a ghabhail sa chuirm eachdraidheil a chomharraich 25 bliadhna bhon a chaidh Pàrlamaid na h-Alba ath-stèidheachadh. Mìle taing dhan a h-uile duine aig a’ Phàrlamaid a chuir fàilte ‘s furan oirrn agus dhuibhse a thug taing dhuinn - tha sinn fada nur comain.

What an enjoyable experience we had yesterday, marking 25 years since The Scottish Parliament was reconvened with Gaelic song & dance. Many thanks to everyone at the Parliament for making us so welcome and to all those who have sent such lovely feedback.

'S e urram dha-rìribh a th' ann cuireadh fhaighinn gus seinn aig an tachartasan chlùiteach seo gus 25 bliadhna de Phàrlamaid na h-Alba a chomharrachadh. Tha i nas cudromaiche buileach dhuinn gun tèid a' Ghàidhlig a riochdachadh aig tachartasan den leithid agus nach sinn a tha a' dèanamh fiughair ri ar cànan, ceòl agus cultar a thaisbeanadh ann.

It's a real honour to be invited to perform at this special event, marking 25 years since The Scottish Parliament was reconvened. It's so important to have Gaelic represented in these type of events, and we look forward to showcasing our wonderful language, music and culture.

A Bill is a proposed Act of the Scottish Parliament. A Bill that is introduced in the Scottish Parliament is scrutinised and debated by MSPs.

Abair tlacht bùth-obrach a chumail mar phàirt de Sheachdain na Gàidhlig leis a’ bhan-ghaisgeach i fhèin Sìleas Nic na Ceàrdaich. Bha ceòl gàire am pàilteas, le cèilidh bheag aig deireadh an latha cuideachd. Ar taing chridheil do Sheachdain na Gàidhlig airson na taice a leig leinn seo a chumail.

A better late than never recap of the fantastic day of music that we held last weekend as part of Seachdain na Gàidhlig. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day singing & dancing, beginning with an inspiring workshop with choral superstar Sìleas Sinclair. We then held an informal community ceilidh that culminated in a work in progress showing of our new piece, and a deoch an dorais too. A huge thanks to (and Bòrd na Gàidhlig) for the support that made this possible.

Rudeigin ri dhèanamh a dhìth oirbh a-màireach? Who wants to come and join us tomorrow (Sunday 25th Feb) for an informal showing / cèilidh as part of Seachdain na Gàidhlig?! We’re embracing the Do Chànan. Do Chothrom (Your Language. Your Opportunity) theme and holding a workshop with award-winning composer Sileas Sinclair, to learn one of her fabulous Gaelic song arrangements.

We will finish the workshop with a ‘work in progress’ public performance of the piece, supported by performances of our previous material, and we’d love you to join us. This is open to anyone to attend and is free of charge. We will then close the day with an informal ceilidh, and open the floor to impromptu performances from both choir members and the public. There may even be a wee deoch an dorais on the way out!

This will be held from 4-5pm in the Renfield Centre, Glasgow. Tha sinn an dòchas ur faicinn ann / We hope to see you there!

What an absolute pleasure to reunite for a mini Còisir Alba performance as part of the pre-opening ceremony for Mòd Phàislig 2023. Whilst we may have had a more bijou form, we still managed to bust out the moves!

These fabulous photos were taken by and pinched from the Royal National Mòd photo gallery - do check out their full coverage through the following link. https://www2.ancomunn.co.uk/2023/1

Gur math a thèid leis na seinneadairean againn a tha a' farpais an-diugh! / Good luck to everyone who’s competing today! 🎶
