Wheel of Fate Edinburgh Folk Arts & Witch Crafts: broom making, bookbinding, and fibre arts workshops in Edinburgh Spin and weave a spell circle for your altar or home.

Our original location, The Witchery in Salem, Massachusetts, was established in 2016. We are delighted to be opening a second location in Edinburgh for broom making, bookbinding, and fibre arts workshops. Craft a rustic broom from scratch, or bind your own leather journal for a spell book, grimoire, book of shadows, art or dream journal! Thank you all for making Sunday such a smash success! We had so much fun and at several points had a completely packed house! The raffle winners will be contacted by the end of day today.

Thanks to all of you who joined us on Sunday and contributed remotely, we raised an amazing £806.66, which we split evenly between and !

Refugee Community Kitchen provides hearty meals for refugees in the UK and France, while Five for Five distributes mutual aid to trans women and transfems in the UK. We are glad to be able to support these important initiatives, who do crucial work for refugees and trans people, two communities who are currently being targeted and scapegoated in British society.

Today is a rare blue moon! Here is how we are marking the occasion at Wheel of Fate. You could burn blue candles or incense, use the power of malachite and lapis lazuli, brew some specially blended Madame Culpeper tea to connect with Artemis, goddess of the moon, or even try a ritual where you write down what you're letting go of and then burn it to help release anything you feel you no longer need. The blue moon is a moon of second chances and unexpected opportunities, so harness that energy in your workings tonight!

Welcome to our pendulum collection.

Dowsing with a pendulum is an ancient art that has been practiced for millennia across many cultures. It is a traditional form of divination that connects you with the energy of the universe - or lets you delve deeper into your own subconscious.

In it's simplest form you can use the direction of spin over an open palm to answer yes or no questions. If you want to take it further you can use a divining board or assign parts of your hand deeper meanings. Pendulums can be used on their own or to seek clarification alongside other forms of divination such as tarot or runes. But don't worry if you're just starting out, we have books to help you take those first steps, or to expand your knowledge.

Pendulums are commonly made from crystals, with quartz, amethyst, and obsidian popular choices for their clarifying and connective qualities. We have a wide range of crystals in varying shapes and styles, so come on in to the shop and try one out for yourself! Or, if you can't make it in person, we have plenty on our website.
