Yes, you read that right! I've been keeping this a bit hush hush, but honestly, I don't know why I did not shout about it sooner.

I've created a special shop on my website, called "The Thoughtful Shop" where I share my conscious handmade art, and hopefully, in the future, items that I'll come across that I believe will help enhance one's way of slow living.

The "Constellation" art collection is made up of 12 handmade unique art pieces, each one representing a star sign. Each one is made from coffee, gold acrylic paint, and black liner.

If you fancy your star sign, don't linger because there is only one piece of each. I will at some point create a different round as I had multiple ideas of how this collection could come to life.

Sometimes I am just in awe with how came to life, where it has gotten to and how it brings joy in people's lives.
This beauty (that has been sold) is a reminder of a fond memory to the lovely owner. To know that
what I create can be a channel for happiness is just...nothing short of amazing.

It is such an honour to know that my art is thoughtfully chosen to be in somebody's home to bring joy or be a reminder of a wonderful time. The home is the most important, personal (even sacred) space in a person's life, and to be allowed in that space it's something I do not take for granted.

4 weeks ago I had an idea in my head. Today, 19 pieces of art stand as testimony that my mind can create beautiful things!!
Yesterday, I spent the day photographing all 19 unique pieces that will be launching next week, on the 26th of October. I must admit, I am so excited about how they turned out!!

To think that these pieces of art will actually bring joy in the homes of the people who will buy them, is even more rewarding. They will be such a conversation starter. I mean who can feel "meh" when finiding out these artworks are made from natural ingredients, they are planet friendly and they are completely unique (there aren't 2 pieces identical)? Also knowing that the owner is the only one in the world to own such a piece? Just saying...conversation started right there! 🙌🏻

I honestly don't know when the time has gone lately. Time has been quite a funny thing this year, and I realised that Halloween is just around the corner (ok, 2 and a half weeks around the corner, fair enough but still, around the corner)!!!

And I know that some of you will surrely want to decorate your lovely homes and are looking for something different to use this year. Perhaps you are fed up with the current options on the market, perhaps you know or feel bad about the level of waste created for these decorations (as we all know the quality is not always the best on these things). Or perhaps you just want something completely different this year, something that you might want to use throughout the year. Something that says "Halloween" but could very well stand on it's own when the holiday passes. Hmm....what to do?

After yesterday's announcements both in England and Scotland regarding new restrictions, I can feel everybody's anxiety level rise. And rightly so. But while everything is happening it's important to remember that this is only temporary! This won't be our life forever. This too shall pass.

I think now more than ever, it will be important to do things that bring us joy (while maintaining the restrictions ofc, we all want this to be done sooner rather than later). And Halloween/Samhain is just around the corner (well, in a month).
💫
Why not dress your home for this Halloween, get the candy, the pumpkins and spider webs and transform your place. Just because you might not be able to do all the things you'd have normally done last year, does not mean you can't still enjoy it!
💫
I also know that you might be worried about investing in Halloween Decorations as they are massed produced, temporary and often not the best of quality. Of course they are, if you think about it, it's meant to be like that so you buy new ones every year. But that just creates more waste (not to mention pollution in the making process).

But what if you could have a decoration that is unique, of good quality, is natural (no platic involved), is environmentally friendly and one that you could use all year round? A decoration that would certainly be a conversation starter and you'd be the only person in the world who owns it?

One thing I like about using natural inks in my artwork is to see how they evolve. What I mean by that is that, just like any other natural thing, it has a sort of "cycle". It changes, it grows "old" with you!

Because the ink I use in my artwork is natural (made from plants or legumes/vegetables/teas, etc.), the colour evolves, changes over time (a long period of time). Just like copper does, for example. But clearly not that much!

So, depending on your view of art (and preserving art) you can choose to do 2 things with natural art:

1. Keep away from direct sunlight (for consistent periods of time);

2. Don't worry about it being in the sun and watch the art change and transform over time. Just like we do in this life.

I, for one, find that idea fascinating. It reminds me that nothing is permanent and that we should just enjoy the moment while it lasts. Also, you never know when a better moment will come along if you remain still.

Monday visual inspiration for you! ☀️ I always love bringing a bit of sunshine (as I call it) through vibrant yellow colours in my work. In this case - beautiful flower ink made from Canadian Goldenrod (from ).

My aim/goal this year is to learn how to make my own with local flowers and goodies. Maybe even grow my own flowers that I can later on use for my ink. 🙌🏻

*Swipe* to see the journey of the "Waterfall" piece made from Black Beans ink. Born from an idea and my curiosity of what colour would black beans create as an ink, this piece has surpassed my expectations.

As you'll see (if you swipe right), at the begining of the process, the ink was a completely different colour - a soft shade of pink. As it dry out, it started pulling some greens into it (but ever so slightly - noticed this in other pieces too) before drying up into this gorgeous blue-ish/purple colour.

I am so excited to explore this ink further and see what beautiful art we can create together.

In the meantime, I am opened to trying new inks or experiment & extract ink from other things.

Sometimes I just love that I have the time and space to let my creativity thrive. It brings so much joy to my heart to be able to not only create these unique pieces but to also know that they will bring a smile to other people as well.

When I started to do this, it was all just a hobby, a way of relaxing after a hard day at work. Then the pandemic hit and it became a way of keeping positive and focusing on things that calm me down (instead of making me anxious).

Now it's becoming a passion. I can't even express the joy it brings to my heart, the wonder and excitement of discovering a new colour from natural indredients. Like this little beauty here. Would you have guessed that this colour was made from black beans???? I would have nevered guessed. But one crazy idea and a lot of curiosity later, this piece has come to life.💛
