🦈💌 Sharkmaster 2 - 15/05/2026

We had a BLAST at Sharkmaster 2 (thanks to everyone who came out to support!) so we thought we’d share some of our fave pics of our marvellous contestants, and their even more marvellous hats (iykyk)🎩

Our very own Jess Ferrier snatched the Sharkmaster crown this time (we promise no nepotism was involved)… but who will be the next challenger to take the throne?

As always, 📸 credit to the wonderful .shots

💌 Sharkmaster contestant announcement! 📣

Last, and maybe actually least, it’s our very own Jess Ferrier!

Jess’ hobbies include talking about how she accidentally became an accountant, talking about that time she lived in singapore, and talking about herself in the third person. She loves three things:
1. a healthy dose of competition
2. the fact that nothing bad happened to her sharkmaster task footage
3. the subtle power of foreshadowing

Ah yes, our fourth victim *cough* we mean contestant… Lewis Robertson!

Straight out of Glasgow and powered by whatever is in the snack drawers, it’s Lewis. Known for dressing like a walking packet of highlighters, Lewis believes he has what it takes to complete at least one task. Having watched almost every season of Taskmaster, he’s either secretly very well-trained or about to massively embarrass himself. Possibly both.

💌 Sharkmaster contestant announcement! 📣

Our third contestant for Sharkmaster 2 is the woman the myth the… Erin McGivern:

With only winning on her mind, wee Erin is ready to take not only the crown but Lex’s bow tie along with it.
Pretending to be a functioning 9 to 5 office worker during the day- Erin is ready to show off her truly questionable creative abilities,
With this being Erin’s first time collaborating with the Sharks, time will only tell if she sinks… or swims

💌 Sharkmaster contestant announcement! 📣

Our second contestant for Sharkmaster 2 is none other than THE Tiger Mitchell:

Hailing from Fife (we don’t talk about that), an acting graduate from an undisclosed drama school and MI5 agent, Tiger is an open book.

“Where’s Deborah Meaden? The guy from Marty Supreme who gets to s***k Timmy C? This is not the Shark Show I signed up for. :/“

💌 Sharkmaster contestant announcement! 📣

With just over a week to go until our next fundraiser and the second instalment of ‘Sharkmaster’ (Shark Bait’s very own Taskmaster ripoff spinoff) we thought it about time we introduced the contestants - and who better to start with than Briony Martha:

After cutting about in France for a few years, Briony Martha is back on her home turf and is ready to be completely and utterly humbled by the Sharkmaster. Actor and playwright by night, retail worker by day, Briony is hoping she may be granted at least one point as compensation for the fact her Mum will definitely be disappointed after her performance in this show.

🐊Crocodile Tears - Duns PlayFest
04.05.2026

Our Sharks (or should we say Crocs) had the best time on Monday performing for the third year in a row at the fantastic - this time with Crocodile Tears!

We are so appreciative of initiatives like Duns PlayFest for bringing theatre to areas which may not otherwise have access and allowing us to give our productions a life after Fringe ❤️

This marked the last planned performance of Crocodile Tears, but don’t be surprised if you see our exile islanders again…

Love,

Interested in directing comedy theatre?

Shark Bait are seeking a central belt Scotland-based director for our 2026 Edinburgh Fringe production ‘Hope This Helps!’ Submissions close next Sunday 3rd May at 11:59PM!

About the play:

Welcome to The Retreat, where guests can log off, detox, and connect with nature (or perfectly kept astroturf). Five eccentric internet addicts search for an easy fix for their mounting problems, in the hopes that cucumber peels and trust exercises can buy back their happiness. When a violent storm threatens to uproot their plans, they are forced to question whether you can ever really go ‘off the grid’. Hope This Helps! is a satirical comedy by Shark Bait Theatre about wellness culture, connection in the digital age, and touching grass for once.

📲🌿🧖‍♀️

If you’re interested you can submit your CV for consideration via the SUBMISSION FORM which can be found through the Linktree in our bio!

Please note that this production will function as a PROFIT SHARE.
