"Hello, you alright?"

A warm hug exchanged during a hello is a common greeting that we often encounter in the UK. However, many Asian cultures are not familiar with the initiation of physical contact during greetings, which create another form of cultural disparity that may not be as obvious as others. Even these greetings, carried out with the best of intentions, can create discomforting and awkward tension.

Captured from the perspective of Asian international students, the Conversation hopes to introduce a real, albeit discomforting, point of view of these innocent interactions.
