I didn't forget you, Virgos! I've just been busy AF with so many life changes, but isn't that just like Virgo season? Busy AF? I have so many Virgo friends that I adore like Frannie Christensen Leanne Downs, MSW, IAAP Aura Garver Jennifer Joy Manhoff Amanda Montgomery Melissa Jesse Haviland Who did I forget? Lmk.

Amazing peeps! I love how Virgos are truly unstoppable. When they put their mind to something, they get it done and done right. They truly keep me grounded. Such great loyal friends who I can always count on.

I learned that the most common zodiac sun sign is Virgo. 🌞Guess which is the least common? Don't look it up. Guess in the comments and then I'll reveal the answer. 🌞

Meanwhile, I haven't been able to print out the cards for the shop because my printer is not liking the image so I'll need to redo it and figure it out hopefully before the season ends.

Welcome Leo season!

My lover is a Leo and I am a Leo lover. Yes, they love attention but they deserve it. They are vibrant and magnetic and once they claim you as a friend, they are loyal and loving. They are creative, charismatic and charming. Maybe they can be stubborn and arrogant too, depending. I'm willing to tolerate it for the most part. It's easy for me to say though because I'm an Aquarian, their opposite sign and so, well balanced to their disposition.

I love creating both digital and paper collage for different reasons. Which one I prefer depends on the day and how I'm feeling. I don't think I could choose a favorite. I'm glad that I have the skills to do both and I think in many ways they compliment each other. I can make a paper collage and duplicate it as a digital collage if I need to make something that can be merchandised. My paper collages are like fine art prints. They are one of a kind.

I'd love to hear about which one you prefer either to look at or to create. And I wonder which pros and cons I've forgot...

Backpacking in Colorado, the Jersey Shore, a wedding in Philadelphia, secret water holes, snake encounters and beautiful moons.
The month was filled with more adventure than actual art creation but sometimes we need to live to inspire more art and I've really loved the pieces I created this month. They truly feel like they came from a more inspired, authentic and centered space.

I just finished reading When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill. It's a feminist novel that takes place in the 50s in the States where women spontaneously start "dragoning", an allegory for female rage, suppressed power and liberation from the patriarchy. In an era when women had limited choices and were told to be small and quiet and over their husbands, instead they unleash their true identities and true joy as powerful fire breathing creatures. I recommend it. The book inspired this collage. All the dragon images came from the free public domain art of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, multicultural tapestries.
