I love collages that are narrative and the story behind this one is so mythical but like a myth that hasn't been written yet. Who is she? She takes the tree from material time/space and wears it like hair. The tree becomes an infinite cosmic void/portal. Birds flock to her like she is the tree now. I want to be here/know her. Zine art. I made this zine about life before we were able to stream everything on demand and before we had pocket computers and social media. With an ironic QR code. I like how it looks when I unfurl it and see it as one piece. Can I frame it? Text art? I've started leaving them around town in coffee shops and vintage boutiques. It's a fun experiment. What a beautiful birthday party for the birth of the Wisdom of Birth Oracle deck Kickstarter launch party in Brooklyn New York this weekend. Friends and family showed up to celebrate the hard work that went into creating this beautiful deck. It was wonderful to see my art displayed on the wall. I am excited to finally get to share this deck with more people.
