Here kitty kitty

I was going to wait for International Tiger Day to post this but it's not until July and I'm so chuffed with how this turned out that I couldn't wait that long. Every tiger's stripes are unique but did you know that it's not just the tiger's fur that is striped but also the skin underneath? And sadly did you know that there are more tigers in captivity in the US than there are left in the wild? Current estimates for the wild population are between 3726 to 5578 🐅

This Easter I went to an art weekend at the fantastic I had a fab time focusing on composition, tone and value, and felt so far away from my normal life that I felt like a tourist on holiday in my own neighbourhood! It was wonderful. This painting was done in just a couple of hours, which is very fast by my usual standards, and is the Union Canal.
