Goddesses, magic and creatures aside, Armillaria is shaped by another force entirely; the ruling class. Ancient dynasties, merchant magnates, military leaders and priestly aristocrats command vast wealth and influence, governing from towering fungal citadels and sprawling industrial cities.
In recent decades, Armillaria has undergone a period of unprecedented advancement under the reign of the Artificer King, Enoki Foxglove. He has devoted much of his life to deciphering the world's first conduit, uncovering the means by which arcane power may be harnessed. Yet beneath the kingdom's prosperity grew widening inequalities, environmental decline, and a dependence on arcane technologies whose consequences remain poorly understood.
Amid prosperity and progress, Armillaria stands at a crossroads, where ancient faith, political ambition, and technological revolution vie to shape the future of the kingdom. Power rests in the hands of a few, will our heroes be able to defeat them?
