We are delighted to be one of the Alcumus Group's valued SafeContractor and members and we've been so for 16 years. This highly respected, industry wide Accreditation system shows our company as an Approved Contractor for a higher than average number of companies across the UK.

Annual reviews with Alcumus helps us ensure we at keep our monthly, weekly and daily systems up-to-date with improvements in industry standards for , Policies (Environmental, Anti-Modern Slavery etc) as well as wider analysis of our Standards. All of which is of the highest importance to us, and our clients. So it's little wonder we are celebrating 16 years of Accreditation!

With the nights drawing in and the curtains closing earlier, it's time to deck the walls ! Today’s reading hour is a little earlier in the day – an afternoon rest in the sunshine with a cool glass of Fentimans Ltd Ginger Beer to accompany local community magazines – The and .

Locals to and will know these magazine’s well – they act as wonderful guides to the local business community as well as containing relevant and important local information – it is here that we learned of the City’s approved plans to extend the Edinburgh Trams network to connect Granton to the West End. We also highly recommend their Lemon Tart recipe if you are in need of a little treat! This edition also contains a few puzzles (you should know by now that we love a good puzzle on a break) and a cheerful Buro Art advert, promoting our online print . We are pleased as ever to be sharing pages with other local, small businesses.

There’s a lovely, quiet time in a summer evening, after eating but before the sun has set which feels like a bonus hour or two of daylight. It’s a great time to walk or flipp through Konect Magazines and The Dell Directory, with a wee tot of The Balvenie Whiskey.

We particularly enjoyed reading about the Dunmore Pineapple (The National Trust for Scotland property) and West Lothian Litter Pickers … who knew there was such a large community voluntarily keeping our shared spaces clean? This edition also features more fun and challenging puzzles and a cheerful (if we do say so ourselves) Buro Art advert, promoting our online print SALE. We are pleased as ever to be sharing pages with other local, small businesses and are feeling particularly inspired to pop to Bakery Andante – it’s been a while since our last, delicious visit! If you're not in the catchment area, you can always catch up online.

As life in takes another step towards more open communities, we are looking forward to rediscovering our city, and what has to offer.

Today’s morning break was spent with a glass of spiced oat-milk, whilst pouring over the pages of , looking for some inspiration and we certainly found it in the interesting articles full of ideas and places to visit. ‘festooned with bluebells’ sounds (and looks) utterly enchanting, the Rhododendrons of Inverleith await a weekend trip, and our personal favourite, has a myriad of horticultural adventures, and that’s just the few articles that caught our eye.

is delighted to have a mention in this May/June edition, and our is now live online. You can see from our recent blog post "Artists Love Flowers" that we appreciate the inspiration to be found in the natural world - we've some special pieces in collection that demonstrate this.

SPRING SALE: Le Chemin du Litto by Richard Moisan shares in a restricted palette of vibrant blues, yellows and greens, painted through the haze of a high midday sun, you can feel the heat of the day and temptation of the cool shade offered by the aptly named umbrella pine trees.

This cheerful, good quality, poster print is taken from the original oil painting by Moisan (b 1946) who enjoys using a palette knife and thick smears of paint to capture his seasonal landscapes. Based in France, Moisan’s art work can’t help but stir up memories of past holiday’s abroad and hint to the hope of future travels. The second in our selection of three vibrant, cheerful SALE prints, celebrating Spring, is the colourful yet restricted palette, of Melodious Birch III by Karen Mason.

This cool, striking print on quality poster paper, is taken from the original painting by Mason (b 1960) who is known for her Botanical works. Mason combines bold lines and soft shapes to create enchanting and atmospheric paintings, often featuring the Birch trees visible from her California studio. Silver Birtch trees are a favourite amongst gardeners who wish to renew and purify their land for the coming year, they are also a subject favoured by many artists, perhaps because of their beauty all year round. Here Mason captures the Spring Birch, their silver trunks glowing under a small, fresh crop of green leaves.
