Eastleigh Folk Dance Club Eastleigh Folk Dance Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, except on Bank holidays. Visitors are welcome, admission is £4.

Eastleigh Folk Dance Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, except on Bank holidays and at the end of July and in August. It meets at the Railway Institute in Romsey Road, Eastleigh, SO50 9FE, from 7.30 pm until 10.00 pm. We have a variety of callers and we welcome both experienced folk dancers and complete beginners. Dances are always fully explained. We cover a mixture of styles, i

ncluding English country dances, 17th and 18th century dances, recently composed dances and American squares and contras. We have live music provided by volunteer musicians. The club is open to people of all ages.

We are at blue cup down, after washing and drying them up, I found out that one was missing. Please if you put a cup down somewhere in the hall or by accident took it home, please let me know.

We would like to say a big thank you to Anton for calling last night at Eastleigh Folk Dance Club. It was an amazing evening, with trying out new dances and moves to some of us.

Hi Dancers and Musicians,

Just a reminder that Eastleigh Folk Dance Club is happening this coming Monday 13th July from 19:30 to 22:00 at Junction Central, Eastleigh, the venue formerly known as "The Railway Institute".

Address: Junction Central, 2 Romsey Road, Eastleigh, SO50 9FE.

The caller is Anton Heyworth-Dunn. Anton is an experienced caller from Lymington, and it is his first time calling at Eastleigh FDC so hopefully there will be lots of dancers and musicians. Anton calls regularly at Highcliffe Folk Dance Club and also East Dorset Folk Dance Club which meets monthly. Anton calls mainly Playford Style Dances but also composes his own dances, one of which is in the programme for Monday.

Weather was warm when we last met on 22nd June and forecast is same again for next Monday. Fortunately the Junction Central hall is large and well-ventilated ! Water/Squash will be plentiful.

Music will be provided by our multi-talented house band, led by Stuart Martyn on accordion.

Admission is £4 (£2 for students)
