The greatest joy comes in the simplest moments 🫶

Kids are very good at being present in the moment, at being where their feet are. They aren't feeling guilty that they haven't got a pristine house and an empty inbox. They are enjoying life to its fullest. Here and now.

If we slow down enough to see it, we can learn a lot from our kids.

It's summer fete season! The kids just love performing out in the community.

It’s great for their confidence and adapatability. Each and every time they step out in front of all those people they just amaze me, and I am so proud of them all.

Make no mistake, there's a lot of unseen work that goes on behind the scenes to make these little events possible. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful team of ladies who share the load (and the joy!) and make it possible.

So this is a massive shout out to all the parents who stay to help, who wander round each fete before and after performances (I know how many ice creams you all have to buy!), who support their dancers so whole heartedly, and a special thank you to Miss Amy, Liz and our queen of costumes Sarah💜

Back to class tonight, matcha latte in hand😅 Everyone worked sooo hard and there is real growth happening 🙌 Super proud of everyone and looking forward to the next 7 weeks of dance joy before the summer break! 😊

Sometimes 'doing nothing' is by far the best and most important thing you can do. It's ok to just say no. Family first 💜

The old me would have felt guilty. I couldn't possibly go out and do something I enjoy and leave the kids with a babysitter! How selfish, I used to think!

But now I know it's not selfish at all! It's so important to look after yourself first if you're going to be capable of looking after everyone else.

One of the things I chose to let go of and leave behind in Barcelona was wasting energy on fearing responses that might not even be real.

Too often, we worry about what might happen or what people might think. But maybe it won’t happen. Maybe they won’t think that at all. And if they do — let them.

Be honest. Live with integrity. Be authentic. And have confidence in yourself, your knowledge, your experience and your instinct. 💜
