We welcome two duos back to the UGT this Saturday Morning, first we have Kat Black & Mr. White (Andy Fricker). They have a vast catalogue of popular hit songs from 60’s onwards with ‘an eclectic musical interlude through time. Just bring a smile.’ In the second session we have talented vocalist/guitarist duo Kevin Barber & Mark Taylor perform an eclectic range of roots music, bluegrass rhythms, tinged with elements of folk, blues and Celtic music

We have two thirds of Midnight Resolution this Saturday morning at the UGT with the remarkable Ewan Hamilton on guitar and vocals with Nancy helping out on bass. Inspired by 90’s rock and indie anthems they will be playing covers and originals. In the second session guitarist/vocalist Kevin Barber, local legend of Folk/Americana in a spine-tingling solo performance that will just leave you mesmerised.

It’s Airbourne Saturday but before the flying begins we have some morning musical entertainment at the UGT starting with a Celia, Rita & Jan from the UGT Guitar Club with a three song singalong. Singer/guitarist Paul Henson will then be bringing a ‘mixed bag’ of acoustic songs from across the decades from Motown to Folk. The RNT band take us up to lunch time with the fabulous vocals of Richard Walder on tea chest bass, Tim Izzard on vocals/percussion and Nigel Wesson on acoustic Guitar/vocals in an entertainment blitz, not to be missed.

This Saturday morning we welcome the brilliant ‘Stone’s Throw’ to the UGT. Musical duo, Stuart & Aideen will be playing music from around the world with influences including classical to jazz, folk, Irish Ballads and Country. Vocal harmonies blended with acoustic guitar, fiddle and accordion. Stuart and Aideen will be joined by Greig & Niall, visiting musicians from Scotland to add some Gaelic charm to the performance.

Saturday morning at the UGT starts with one of our favourite vocal/guitar duos ‘Tilsmore’. Beverley & Jon Healy play great songs from the 60’s onwards from Everly Brothers to Sade all interspaced with Jon’s excellent jokes. In the second session we are grateful to have, the brilliant vocalist, guitarist and pianist Keith Willson. Keith’s rich powerful and soulful voice and will be accompanied on stage by bassist Terry Dailey.

Nothing is Real are back at the UGT this Saturday morning, 60 years on from 1966 and The Fab Six will be covering the album Revolver and the Beatles last ever concert at Candlestick Park, San Francisco on Aug 29th 1966. (I want to tell you, I got to get you into my life, it’ll be a good day sunshine, wait for no-one, park your yellow submarine in the harbour, hide from the taxman, here, there and everywhere, book an appointment with Dr Robert, I want to tell you, your bird can sing, she said, I’m only sleeping. So love to you, Eleanor Rigby, because tomorrow never knows.) Superb nostalgic recreation of the unique sound from the sixties.

The SRB Band play the UGT this Saturday morning. Sue and Robert Griggs, with guest appearance from Brian Fuller. Stripped-back folk, country and pop songs on ukulele, cigar box guitar, recorder, tenor guitar and melodeon. In the second session we have versatile musician, Tim Izzard, who has put together a set of songs that can best be described as ‘Novelties’ that have appeared in the charts over the decades. Pure entertainment not to be missed.

In the second session we have the wonderfully talented ‘Linus & Lucy’- Mark and Claire Taylor - acoustic/bass guitar vocal duo with a tasteful selection of 60’s and 70’s songs that immediately transport you back to that incredible musical era.
