I have just had a lovely two days with and their production of Annie Jr at the programming and operating both sound and lighting, We had a lovely rented M32 and stagebox from u2m, 8 ways of radio and my pa system as well as the pavilions house lighting rig. it was a lovely sounding show with some incredible talent!

Today I finished my work on Storms, Maybe Snow at the written and directed by Miranda Lapworth. Over 60 hours in 6 days and a couple hurdles here and there but we got there! It was amazing to work with this production that will next be seen in london! But no rest for me as the next show starts tomorrow! Hope you enjoy the photos :) (and the extra one of me with 300m of speaker cable)

This week i have been working on the biggest show i have ever designed. Cavendish School’s The Band! at the theatre! 6 piece orchestra, 12 radio mics and one impressive show! I managed to use every single channel and bus available to me on the M32

each orchestra member had an aviom personal mixer, then there were 3 more monitor mixes for the cast and singers and then the mix everyone heard out front. 23 mics, 13 direct inputs and a whole lot of fun! It was a pleasure to work on this and be a small part of bringing (director) and (music director)’s vision to life

Tonight is the closing night of the arts council funded production of Medium with at The Hot Tap Theatre in hastings. Jumping in for the hastings leg of their mini tour, I was able to help them bring their sound and lighting design to life in this small space. It’s a Victorian ghost story you don’t want to miss!

And a big thank you to for lending us a speaker and a few floor fixtures which without, the production couldn’t of happened.

On Friday I was at the in their Studio 27 with Bev Lee Harling and her production of Ploughing The Salt Sea. Covering for LX I helped get in and out, plotted, programmed and operated LX on their ETC element console as well as lending a hand with some sound and Qlab related bits. It was a wonderful, emotional show with fantastic music. Thanks to Jonathan for getting me involved, Bev and Co for being so chilled out and lovely and the whole White Rock team for being supportive of the show we wanted to put on

Yesterday I was at the Hailsham Pavillion with Kerry Lebbern and her Carpenters tribute band. Full PA provided and a clean show mixed, it didn’t come without its issues but the audience and the band had fun and that’s all that matters. Big thank you to .acts who came down to learn shadow and help with the out. You’ll definitely see their face around more as they are an absolute superstar!!

Yesterday i mixed the final two shows of The Rattonians Jospeh show to cover for the designer to have a day off. by far the biggest show i’ve ever worked on there was 24+ ways of radio mics and a full 10 piece orchestra. unfortunately i have no pit photos but as you can imagine the get out was a monster! Had an amazing time regardless

Last week i was back at the with with their ABBA and Fleetwood Mac Tribute show. this was a privilege, an honour and amazing fun to work on. Special mention to Lloyd, their touring engineer who was amazing as acting as an extra set of ears and communication with the band

The two videos have their audio taken directly from a recording off the sound desk with a very minor remaster of the main levels of LR, Enjoy!

i really did end my work on scene & heard at the with a bang! we had with us tonight with her gig style show, behind the washing line. I’ll let the videos do the talking but it was FANTASTIC!

We had 15 mics out half of which were condensers and a whole lot of positive energy in the room. Credit to for the incredible lighting design to go along with the fantastic set and beautiful sounding show. I hope i get to work with you all again soon!!

Last Night at the we had the amazing with her Divas Tribute show! I provided sound engineering and lighting design services. We had 10 speakers, lots of colour, and last but not least, a mirrorball!

It was great to meet helen and have a nice chilled setup and gig!

Its been a busy week and a half over at the with us now reaching halfway through their scene and heard festival with a very strong opening from white led and cagebirds (photos taken from ) where i lended a hand with the rigging and some of the rigging decisions for the design made by (won’t let me mention for some reason)

meanwhile, we had an external in from i have been deep into infrastructure upgrade mode, in the last 3 weeks the stables theatre has:
gone to 2 universes
implemented and documented a standard rig
rerun all the additional DMX runs through the attic
prepped 6 more ways of dimmers to be installed
as well as the odd loan out to partner theatres and the odd profile that needed rebuilding

i’ve been busy indeed! and now it means that it’ll all work much smoother for the coming shows for the rest of this festival
