Joyfully 4c
This artwork relates to the theme of Black Joy simply through my love of creating with whatever I find around me. I allow the piece to guide me and listen to each medium/item that calls to me to be utilised. My intuition tells me it's what my ancestors did to spark joy in their surroundings.

I love weaving 'Dream Catchers'. I was shown how to, 14 years ago.

Whilst weaving I weave dreams into the design rather than create something to catch bad dreams.

I create to spark, joy, wonder and curiosity.

This piece is called Joyfully 4c as this is what I experienced through its creation

Caution, Chaos, Curiosity, Clarity.

As you can imagine, working with fragile leaves requires a lot of patience and a steady hand, but the focus of my work for me lies on the effect it has on the viewer, on the ideas that flow into the compositions and the thoughts the pieces can evoke.
