There is NO walk-in bookings, as it is an un-attended reception. All persons attending, regardless of them being a user or guest of the user, will have to read, agree and sign a disclaimer form.

Company policy is a £250 cash deposit which is strictly required on all bookings regardless of how much time you have booked. This must be paid before the vehicle enters the building – If you have no cash deposit, there will be no entry. The cash deposit is due to the possibility of extra time that may be unknowingly required. Unfortunately Rent A Ramp Eastbourne has suspended the supply and offer of refreshments such as teas/coffees and snacks to customers until further notice. However, customers are permitted to bring their own refreshments.

1. Rent A Ramp Eastbourne is a hospitality leisure centre for the car enthusiasts and DIY persons – providing the space, tools and facility. Rent A Ramp Eastbourne is not responsible for inefficiencies, delays, or issues which may arise from activities carried out by users. We make no guarantees concerning the level of success you may experience.
2. Upon the signing of the disclaimer you are agreeing to our T&Cs, a £250 cash deposit is strictly required on all bookings regardless of how much time you have booked. The cash deposit is due to the possibility of extra time that may be unknowingly required.
3. The booking time starts as soon as the vehicle enters the building and ends when the vehicle leaves the building. Management / staff reserve the right to stop use or refuse entry of any person in to the building (Rent A Ramp Eastbourne) at any time. Mobile mechanics will be assessed on a case by case basis. This is due to benefiting from this facility to make personal profit.
4. A driver's licence photocard is required as part of the booking – you also need to bring this with you. This will be used to confirm who is using the facilities and agreeing to our T&Cs written on the supplied disclaimer form. If you have a guest with you, they also need to sign the disclaimer and provide a photo ID with proof of address – we accept the following as examples: Provisional licence, Passport, Utility bill / Bank statement.
5. It is down to the user to check their correct vehicle lift points prior to their visit. If you do not know – a Google search will provide you this information. This is due to each vehicle being different and it is advised to NOT be lifting a vehicle on pinch weld points where they are only intended for an emergency wheel change and NOT for prolonged lift use.
6. A member of staff will show you how to operate the car lift. You will also be shown all the tools available and present in your bay at the time before you start – once you have completed your booking, the tools and equipment will be inspected to see if there are any missing or damaged etc. Upon this inspection, you then may be liable for any missing/damaged equipment.
7. All equipment should be returned to their home-position. replace tools in their original places etc.).
8. The user will be responsible for tools that may become broken or if they are used for anything they are not intended for (i.e. If this is the case, the user will have to replace the same equipment – if the equipment is obsolete or no longer available, they should replace to a same grade that’s currently available on the market.
9. Any equipment, parts etc. that users bring with them into the building, they are responsible/liable for clearing and disposal of the waste. if you are changing your vehicles brakes, you are responsible to take the old parts with you as we do not offer any waste disposal or waste stream services in this facility (i.e. Engine oils, gearbox oils, brake fluid, summer coolants and other engine lubricants).
10. This facility is strictly a pre-book service only – there will be no walk-in bookings as it is an un-attended reception. All persons attending, regardless of them being a user or guest of the user, will have to read, agree and sign a disclaimer form. The booking is strictly on the vehicle and NOT the customer. i.e. 1 vehicle, per booking, per customer. For example, you cannot book a full day and work on multiple vehicles.
11. It is advised to wear steel cap shoes, eye protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when carrying out specific work but it is ultimately down to the user's choice.
12. There will be no unnecessary engine revving at all times in the building. Vehicle engines must be remained off unless it is essential for a particular job. If the vehicle has no catalytic converter, the engine should strictly be shut off unless it is absolute necessary due to the harmful fumes damaging the environment and to show respect for other customers in the facility.
13. Strictly no spraying of underseal or applying of underseal, spray painting and painting in any shape or form to be done inside the building. Do not hammer or bang items on the stainless steel worktops – these are not intended for that purpose.
14. Each customer is limited to brining a maximum of one guest due to health & safety reasons.
15. Rent A Ramp Eastbourne takes zero responsibility for any damage to your vehicle or improper use of equipment which may cause injury and accepts no liability for any customer that has a fatal injury or accident which may cause death.
16. Rent A Ramp Eastbourne will not be liable for any damage, loss or theft to your vehicle or belongings during your booking.
17. If you are not competent in what you’re intending to do during your booking, then please do not attempt it.
