There is a a mini exhibition of the some of the hand-made props, set & costumes from "Eastbourne Soup" at the Gather (The Beacon) tomorrow & Thurs 11 June from 10am - 5pm. The items were made by volunteers from Compass Arts - Creating Community, East Sussex College, The Eastbourne Shed & Sew Sussex, with support from professional designers.

Wow just WOW! ✨

Eastbourne Soup last night was incredible, and it was so lovely to see so many familiar faces in the audience.

This felt like a much-needed love letter to Eastbourne - its history, community, volunteers, creativity and the people who quietly work so hard to make things happen.

So much care, talent and effort has gone into every aspect of this production. From the actors and musicians to the writers, directors, stage props, costumes, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved. and especially to for bringing such an uplifting project to life.

If you’re lucky enough to be going today and tonight, you’re in for a treat ❤️

Lots of amazing stuff happening this weekend in Eastbourne (and over in Newhaven too!) ☀️🎉

🎭 Eastbourne Soup is at the Winter Garden this weekend, brought to you by . This specially written community play is packed with Eastbourne stories, local history, music and a cast of 50 performers, with shows on Friday at 7.30pm and Saturday at 2.30pm & 7.30pm.

🎶 Mostly Folk welcomes Andrew Rumsey to on Friday evening. Hosted by , the contemporary folk night also features David Perry, with tickets including a drink and just a few places left.

🥕 Eastbourne Farmers Market returns outside Towner on Saturday from 9am–1pm, with more than 30 local producers, growers and makers setting up shop for the morning.

🖨️ Towner Print Fair takes over on Saturday and Sunday, 10am–4pm, with printmakers from across the region.

🌳 Party in Nature celebrates five years of at Sevenoaks Rec on Sunday from 12pm–5pm, with free music, walks and nature activities.

🎨 50 Years of Print opens at BN9 Studio in Newhaven, a free exhibition celebrating UK graphic art and print culture, brought to you by , open Thursday–Saturday 10am–4pm and Sunday 10am–3pm.

A pretty good weekend for food lovers, theatre-goers, nature enthusiasts and creative folk. Have we missed anything? 👀
