The Mill Youth Theatre is a new and exciting theatre company that offers a highly creative environment for young people in the East Lothian area.

🎭 Our sixth-year YT members kicked off their rehearsals for a murder mystery farce tonight, inspired by The Play That Goes Wrong!

This marks the last hurrah for these students, some of whom we’ve known since they were four years old! 😵
It has been such a pleasure to be part of their journey, watching them grow in confidence and become the brilliant young people they are today. We are really going to miss them but what a fantastic way to wrap up their time with us—going out on a high note with a fast-paced farce full of comedy!

A huge well done to our S1 - S3 NB youth theatre on their brilliant scratch night of devised theatre and play extracts on the theme of growing up and being a teenager!! We were so impressed by their acting, stage craft, and ensemble work. This 38 strong group tonight really showed their talent and skills. No pictures sadly it was a busy old time! Thanks to their lovely friends and family for their support. We raised £240 towards our end of term Oscars party which is brilliant!! ❤️

Our senior students are delighted to be performing - The Murder Mystery that goes wrong at Fringe by the Sea this summer. Time to be confirmed, but put Monday the 3rd of August in your calendars.
This is the last project for these amazing bunch (sob) so please come support, it’s going to be such a fun piece.

An unconscious leading lady, a co**se who can't play dead, a ruffled detective, and a word-mangling butler (among others) must battle against technical gaffes, forgotten lines, and sabotaging scenery in a quest to arrive all in one piece at the final curtain call.

Huge congratulations to the amazing cast of Cloud Busting! 🌟 You truly acted your socks off and delivered a brilliant performance at Pitlochry Festival Theatrelast night. We’re incredibly proud of each one of you and everything you’ve accomplished!
A big shoutout to everyone at Pitlochry Theatre and all the other youth theatre groups who showcased their talent this weekend. It’s inspiring to witness so many young performers shine on stage. ✨

Huge congratulations to our senior NB group on their production of *Cloud Busting* yesterday! Ali, our mentor from the National Theatre, really enjoyed our interpretation and said it was performed beautifully with emotion. We are looking forward to more feedback from him next week. We are so excited about taking the show to Pitlochry Theatre in April. A big thank you to our lovely, warm audience and to our younger YT members who came to support us. We love our drama community!❤️

Really great work with our teenage youth theatre students tonight. I know we are biased but they are such a talented warm and supportive group of young actors, it makes our heart sing. We will have a showcase on May 12th to show off their devised and scripted work. Put the date in your diaries.

Our last “big” show this term is from our S4 - S6 youth theatre
“Cloud Busting” by Helen Blakeman is a powerful and moving story about bullying and friendship. We are performing this play once in North Berwick before we travel to the beautiful Pitlochry Theatre in April.
Please come support our teenagers.
This Wednesday the 25th of March at 7.45pm at NBHS drama studio. £10 adults - £5 under 18’s tickets available on door.
