Little Rembrandts Art Classes for Kids Little Rembrandts

Little Rembrandts is a structured fine art programme aimed at children aged between 5-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds.

Our aim is to teach our students the basics in art such as drawing, picture composition, watercolours and then building on their new skills, a technique used by the Masters for their students. We aim to introduce the children to a variety of mediums and techniques that they may not have encountered previously such as chalk pastels, charcoal and shading techniques. We aim to open children's minds t

o the vast world of fine art and its endless possibilities. We want to build your child's confidence by uncovering their hidden abilities and reminding them that there is no right or wrong way to create a work of art! We encourage the children to experiment throughout class time and understand that there is more to art than being 'good at drawing'. Many of our students love nothing more than sticking things together and creating sculptures from paper and glue. We always encourage art in any form… the more creative the better. We try to keep class sizes small so the children can have individual attention throughout the class time. Children are never forced to do anything they don't want to do, but we will always try to encourage them. Most importantly, our aim is to make the classes as fun and welcoming as possible. Our classes are run by Karla. Karla has worked as a Graphic Designer for the last 25 years and currently runs her own Graphic Design Business. Karla is brilliantly assisted by her mum Joan (fondly known to the children as Joanie). Joan is a truly invaluable part of the Little Rembrandts Team. Our team are fully disclosed.

Hi all… (important info… please read) 😉

Hope you’re all looking forward to the Easter break.

I just want to confirm our classes as follows:

Thursday 02 April - Class on as normal
Friday 03 April - Class on as normal

Monday 06 April - NO CLASS
Wednesday 08 April - Class on as normal
Thursday 09 April - NO CLASS
Friday 10 April - Class on as normal

Monday 13 April - NO CLASS
Wednesday 15 April - Class on as normal
Thursday 16 April - NO CLASS
Friday 17 April - Class on as normal

Those who attend the Monday and Thursday classes are welcome to attend our Wednesday class if it suits over the break. Please note that the time of the Wednesday class is 4.15 to 5.15.

Classes will return to normal on Monday 20 April. There will be a small price increase from £7.50 to £8.00 per child, per class. The 15% sibling discount will still apply.

For those who have already paid a 4 week block that coincides with the price increase, please note that the price increase will not affect you until the new block payment is due.

Huge thanks to all the people (including parents and children) who have helped me over the last few weeks with the classes while Joan has been off! Your help has been truly appreciated… 🥰

Our Story

We want to go further than just 'glitter and glue' and open their minds to the vast world of fine art and its endless possibilities. We aim to build your child's confidence by uncovering their hidden abilities and reminding them that there is no right or wrong way to create a work of art! Class sizes are relatively small and the children will have some individual attention throughout the class time. Most importantly the classes are fun and welcoming. Karla is fully disclosed and is PVG registered, and has worked as a Graphic Designer for the last 20 years. She currently runs her own Graphic Design Business, Flinky Design and also works part-time for software developers, PyrusMalus.
