Great news from Storm Events!

Storm have been gradually building a significant stock of production lighting equipment over the past two years based around the Chauvet Professional range. The fixtures sit perfectly from a performance and price point of view.

The recent addition of a further 40 moving head fixtures including the Legend 230SR has allowed Storm to produce stunning effects on a number of awards shows. Colourdash Hex 8 battens and Hex 7 pars
Q-Spot 460’s
Q-Wash 419z’s

In addition to purchases from Chauvet Storm continue to invest in the control side of the lighting department with recent additions including Avolites Powercubes, Chamsys MQ100 Pro 2014 consoles. Further Litec truss, ETC Source four fixtures and VMB wind-up tower stands complete the portfolio.

We're in Cardiff today proving av support for Catch Up's education conference.

Schools in Wales are really benefiting from this fantastic program which provides struggling learners with a researched, tested and effective method of dramatically increasing literacy and numeracy ages.

Catch Up (the working name of the Caxton Trust) is a not-for-profit company and a registered charity. Established in 1997, its mission is to address the problem of underachievement that has its roots in literacy and numeracy difficulties. BBC Radio Three last week featured one of the new projects we're working with. Errollyn Wallen was on the show to talk about Cautionary Tales and the Edinburgh festival with some live desk mixes from Lattitude played on the show as well as an interview on her current works. Also great to hear an old friend Declan Zapala on the show from the University of Surrey days!

Here's the BBC link, you can enjoy Declan first then hear the interview with Errollyn 25 minutes in.

The slot at Lattitude was a fun 50 minute show with a quick 1 hr to get all the set in and sound check the orchestra and headsets. To ensure the success of the show we took our own mic package to add to the festival package, including DPA Microphones headsets and our Drum and Piano mics. The in house technicians from Dimension Audio gave us a great helping hand to have the show ready in time. Well done to the whole cast and crew for a successful show.

What a lovely place to spend a day in rehearsals. This weekend we have two fantastic events on.

The first is Graham Kendrick in Ipswich, featuring David Fitzgerald, Simon Dennis and Terl Bryant.

The second is a new opera company to me with music by Errollyn Wallen. We're performing Cautionary Tales at Lattitude festival on the theatre stage. Today we had the dress rehearsals in the Trinity conservatory of music and dance. Lovely bunch of musicians, singers and stage hands to be working with.

Another busy week just been had mixing a couple of function bands, providing AV for a conference for Catch Up, some installation work and engineering several conferences for some other great production companies.

We're now adding the final touches on two mixes ready for a special event this week. We're very excited and as soon as it has been "On Air" we'll fill you in!
