We tweaked these guys slightly so they were individual to each client, but still kept the matching element of the lavender. 🌷

Family, unity and together despite the distance 🩷

When Emelia approached me about her and her siblings getting this personal tattoo, I had lots of fun with the differentiations!

Inspired by the lilac breasted roller (I recommend googling it, their colourings are gorgeous!), these beauties are local to Botswana where my clients were born… and happen to be their Grandma’s favourite bird 🦜

As Sam’s birds stretched across his torso and Emelia’s followed the curve of her ribs at a smaller scale, we had to adjust some details, but managed to keep their distinct features (such as the tail and 3 layered wings).

Thanks so much Julie for trusting me with this very personal piece. Combining birth month flowers with fingerprints from herself, her late husband Chris and their daughter, this bouquet is truly one of a kind 💐

And as a spontaneous decision, we added some dots to the end of each finger nail! Finger tattoos can be more prone to fading due to the “wear and tear” placement, but can be touched up later - we’ll see how they heal! 🩷
