The Assembly Rooms Theatre, Durham Welcome to the Assembly Rooms - a beautiful, proscenium arch theatre in the heart of the city! Welcome to the Assembly Rooms Theatre, Durham.

Situated on North Bailey in the most historic part of Durham, within sight of Durham Cathedral, entering the Assembly Rooms Theatre is like stepping into a another world. Furnished in red velvet with a ceiling to rival the night sky, the Assembly Rooms is an oasis of creativity in the heart of Durham. The Assembly Rooms Theatre is host to DST - our resident theatre company, who have a regular prog

ramme of weekly productions from October-December, January-March and April-June. DST shows run Thursday-Saturday, often with a matinee performance on Saturday. On Sundays and throughout the Easter and Summer univeristy vacations, the Assembly Rooms Theatre is host to a range of local and national productions and touring shows.
