Elysium Theatre Company

Elysium Theatre Company Elysium is a new Durham-based company dedicated to bringing the best of world theatre to the North.

Founded by Jake Murray and Danny Solomon in 2017, our goal is to present Northern premieres of plays from around the world, new work of our own and exciting reworking of classics across the region

So far we have presented north eastern or regional premieres of:

'Days Of Wine And Roses' by Owen MacCafferty
'Jesus Hopped The A Train' by Stephen Adly Giurgis
'The River' by Jez Butterworth
'Playland

' by Athol Fugard

and important revivals of:

'Footfalls' and 'Krapp's Last Tape' by Samuel Beckett
'Miss Julie' by August Strindberg
