ALL BANGERS. NO MASH. Yorky Pud Street Band are back at Durham Brass! 🎺

And you can see them for FREE across County Durham at Streets of Brass, Party in the Park and our Brass Bash events.

They were a huge hit last year, so we can’t wait to bring them back for more terrific tunes and party vibes.

Our Durham Brass Bashes return across County Durham this July!

Experience the atmosphere of Durham Brass Festival with FREE events taking place between Monday 13 July and Friday 17 July.

Join our street bands for performances on the below dates:
🔹Quarrington Hill Little Brass Bash - Monday 13 July, 6pm to 8pm, Quarrington Hill Community Centre.
🔹Shildon Little Brass Bash (collaboration with Durham Music Service's Momentum project) - Monday 13 July, 6pm to 9pm, Locomotion.
🔹Barnard Castle Little Brass Bash - Tuesday 14 July, 6pm to 8pm, The Witham.
🔹Crook Little Brass Bash - Tuesday 14 July, 6pm to 8pm, Crook Community Leisure.
🔹Willington Big Brass Bash - Wednesday 15 July, 6pm to 9pm, Town Park.
🔹Bishop Auckland Little Brass Bash - Wednesday 15 July, 6pm to 8pm, Auckland Palace Courtyard.
🔹Coxhoe Little Brass Bash - Thursday 16 July, 6pm to 8pm, Village Green (Pit Wheel).
🔹Spennymoor Big Brass Bash - Thursday 16 July, 6pm to 9pm, Jubilee Park.
🔹Seaham Big Brass Bash - Friday 17 July, 6pm 9pm, Terrace Green.
🔹Newton Aycliffe Big Brass Bash - Friday 17 July, 6pm to 9pm, Town Park.

In line with the 20th anniversary of Durham Brass Festival, Mark Herman's award-winning comedy Brassed Off is coming to Gala Durham's big screen in July 🎺

The film will be shown on Saturday 18 July, 5pm

This year also marks 30 years since the film's release which features Grimethorpe Colliery Band who are playing this year's Durham Brass Festival at Gala Durham

🛳 Our Brass Boat Cruises are selling quickly with some events now sold out!

Enjoy a full licensed bar, wonderful music from one of our street bands playing two sets, gorgeous views of Durham city, and an atmosphere you won’t forget. Sail from the Boathouse beneath Elvet Bridge to St Hild and St Bede College, and back via Prebends Bridge on the 60 minute cruise.

There are four cruises on Saturday 18th July and four on Sunday 19th July each featuring a different band:

We’re thrilled to welcome back Brazen Brass Band to our festival this summer! They brought all the anthems to County Durham at Durham Brass 2025 and promise to get you grooving again in July with even more terrific tunes across our FREE outdoor events. 🎺

The all-female band features players from around the world, who have experience in a huge range of genres of music from jazz and classical to traditional brass bands - so you’re guaranteed to hear songs the whole family will love! 🎶

🎷Saturday 18th July and Sunday 19th July

Cruise along the River Wear on the Prince Bishop, with our fantastic street bands onboard. Some of the cruises are nearly sold out so book now to avoid missing out!
