So, you saw our show announcement yesterday, but what is Women of the Manor? 💜 Find out more by watching this video by Kate, the writer of this brand new play.
Creative and Production Team opportunities are NOW OPEN for Pitch's student-written show, 'Women of the Manor', to be performed during Epiphany term.
A brand-new, mock Shakespearean comedy summarised as follows:
"When one pours so thoroughly their knowledge of self into one as beloved as my sister is to Nadiya, and Nadiya to my sister, then the likelihood of others hearing such intimate upset is all but nothing."
Lady Isabelle and Lady Nadiya have been inseparable friends for over a decade, and have built a life together in their home of Sunwright Manor. But when a sudden quarrel has them at each other’s throats, the household is sent into disarray. Only Isabelle’s sister, the well-intentioned Celine, is willing to intervene in an attempt to restore the manor to rights - but all is not fair in love and war, and it will take more than perseverance to have Isabelle and Nadiya back as beloved friends once more. With the help of the servants, the manor’s Jester, and a long-lost friend of her own, Celine attempts to prove the power of platonic love in this new Shakespearean comedy of q***r errors and the things that we do for our friends.
