Race Dunvegan Race Dunvegan is a scenic mixed-terrain 10K, 5K & Fun Run on the Isle of Skye, set beside iconic Dunvegan Castle. Located on the beautiful Isle of Skye.

Join us on Saturday 20th MARCH 2027 for an unforgettable run in Scotland’s Highlands. Entries open soon: https://www.skye-events.co.uk/ We are delighted that Dunvegan Castle is the main sponsor for this scenic 10K. Dunvegan Castle is over 800 years old and is still home to the Chief of the clan MacLeod. The Castle attracts many thousands of visitors each year, from all over the world, many of whom

come to the island especially to visit their ancestral home. The now annual event, is on Saturday 29th of April 2017. Proceeds to local charitable Community minibus. It is a mix of trail paths, road and forest tracks. The 10k event is preceded by a 2 k fun run, ideal for parents and kids. Entry fee £15

Why do we smile when we run?
Because it makes us feel alive.

From the moment we’re born, we want to move — to sit up, to stand, to walk… and then to run. It’s instinctive. It’s freedom. But somewhere along the way we’re told to stop — don’t run here, don’t run there — and we forget.

Running brings it all back.
Freedom. Joy. Energy. Wellbeing. ✨

If you’re a parent, take your kids outside and let them run as fast as they can… and just watch them smile.

That’s why this is my favourite edit — you can’t hide that feeling.
Runners don’t fake smiles… they can’t help them 😊
