Scotland's Last Cinema Organist Larry McGuire, resident organist of the New Palace Theatre Organ Heritage Centre, Greenlaw, Berwickshire. Specialist in accompanying silent films since 1984.

Larry McGuire was the last organist to be employed full time in a Scottish cinema, namely, at the Playhouse, Edinburgh, playing the largest organ installed in a Scottish Cinema, the 3/36 Hilsdon (originally installed as a 3/27, and enlarged in 1973, 1980 and 1983)
Currently resident organist of the New Palace Theatre Organ Heritage Centre, Greenlaw, Berwickshire, playing the Unique Hilsdon Unit Or

chestral Pipe Organ which is an amalgam of the Hilsdon organs from the Palace Picture House, Edinburgh; Playhouse, Edinburgh; Picture House, Paisley; along with a handful of selected choice ranks from other builders, including Robert Hope-Jones.
