ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with much sadness that we have decided to cancel next years PITP 2.0.
We have been working in the background to try and make this the show we all want and deserve in these challenging times.
With a strong desire to honour Kevin’s memory we feel that timing has not been right on both a personal and professional level for those involved to give 100%.
We really didn’t want to let anyone down and this has played a big part in our final decision.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support, well wishes, patience and understanding.

On behalf on Pete, Duck and I we want to wish you all the best for the festive season and a joyous New Year x

Kirsty

NB - Please be aware all ticket holders will be contacted by Ticketlab later today with details for a full refund

It is with deep regret and sadness, that the organizers for 'Prog in the Park 2.0 ' have taken the extremely difficult decision to cancel the intended event for April 2nd this year due to the untimely passing of founder Kevin O'Neil.
This venture was Kevin's dream and his focus during his lengthy illness. This decision was not taken lightly. Due to the fact that a lot of the detail only Kevin was privy to, and given the period of time between Kevin's intended funeral and the event, it was deemed not a suitable amount of time needed to proceed without added pressure to all.
Besides from myself and Pete's involvement in different areas, Kevin's wife Kirsty has an active role in Kevin's team of organizers. Due care and attention must come first for her and the family to heal and move forward.

PITP 2.0 is Kevin’s legacy so, on a positive note, we have jointly decided to honour his memory by fulfilling his dream and announcing that April 1st 2023 is the new booked date, at The Glen Pavilion with acts and line-up TBA later in the year.

For ticket holders, Ticket Labs will be individually in touch with you. However, existing purchased tickets will be useable for the new date. We hope you all agree that this is the correct and only decision at this time. We cannot thank you enough for all your involvement and support. We will be in touch.

Should you have any further queries you can send a PM to Peter McDonagh or Andrew McDonald, but further updates will be available as and when we have any information.

Best Regards
Kirsty, Andrew & Pete

A belated Happy New Year from to all of you and your families. I really hope that 2022 will be a completely different and better year for us all.

I’m sorry for the lack of updates, this is down to what I have had to deal with on the medical front. This included so many hospital admission’s (some I wrote about on oneoffifteen.com) and a lot more that myself and Kirsty keep to ourselves.

Now whatever the Covid 19 pandemic does next and whatever direction our politicians go, I will promise you this, I will keep you all updated with what’s going on with myself and with Prog in the Park 2.0

Thank you so much to everyone that voted in the Prog magazine in the 2021 awards. In 2019 I went in at number 10, in 2020 it was like the UK in the European Song Contest 😉 and this year it was number 8. This very much goes to my friends Andrew and Peter as well as my wife Kirsty for all the continued support in making Prog in the Park 2.0 a reality, sometime.

All the best and may yer lum reek.

PROG IN THE PARK 2.0 - proginthepark.com

Yesterday I ‘released’ the official poster/leaflet for PITP 2.0. The designer of this emailed me earlier today with this new poster/leaflet as he noticed that when some people put it on their own social media sites that it became ‘distorted’.

The team involved with PITP 2.0 are all highly professional and they take pride in the work they are doing for this festival. I really can’t thank them enough for all the work they are doing to make PITP 2.0 a success.

They have also been great with the level of support and encouragement that they have given me.

If you are a prog rock fan, then I am certain that you will agree that this is a great line up that has signed up to play PITP 2.0 in April 2022.

Over the last few days, ticket sales have started to pick up. This is really is encouraging and thank you everyone that have bought tickets. If you are planning to buy a ticket or 2, then please don’t leave it too late as you might be disappointed!

Best wishes

Kev
