Dunfermline, this is our moment. 🎭🎶🎬
Outwith Festival is BACK — Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th September — and this is more than just five days of gigs and gags. It's proof that a "small but mighty" city can punch above its weight culturally.

Built and run by volunteers since 2017, Outwith has grown into a genuine highlight of Dunfermline's calendar: theatre, film, comedy, art, workshops, and a music all-dayer, which in PJs this year.

This year even brings Neil Lennon in conversation at Carnegie Hall and Kes on the big screen with actor David Bradley.

Festivals like this don't survive on nostalgia — they survive because people show up. So here's the ask:

We are delighted to welcome a top line-up of screen talent to Outwith Festival for our celebration of Ken Loach 🎬

👉 Actor David Bradley, star of Loach's seminal classic, Kes

👉 Producer Peter Gallagher, whose collaborations with Loach include The Angels' Share, Sweet Sixteen, and My Name is Joe.

👉 Director Laura Carreira, whose debut feature was Executive Produced by Loach, and researched at Dunfermline's Amazon warehouse.
