About Us
On Pointe Performing Arts is a performing arts school based in Townhill ran by Syrian McKenna. On Pointe started in October 2009 and has been going strong ever since. We offer many different aspects of Dance and Performance, including the newest trend Acrobatic Arts in which introduces dance and acro combined. We also offer Contemporary, Lyrical, Limbering, Body Conditioning, Jazz, Commercial and Gymnastics to name a few. We currently combine Ballet with our technique and lyrical classes to ensure dancers are receiving the most out of their training at On Pointe.
On Pointe also have competition teams whom travel the UK competing in Lyrical, Jazz, Acro and performance. On Pointe Elite, On Pointe Mini’s and The Instinct. These teams are extremely successful winning Scottish Titles, UK Dance Challenge titles and much more.
On Pointe enrol children from 2 years of age, where they learn to dance, have fun and gain confidence in a fun environment, thus being where many beautiful friendships are made.
Since On Pointe opened its doors Syrian has successfully trained dancers whom have been accepted into many different Performance Schools around the UK. Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, PASS Edinburgh, Ballet West, Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts and Birds College in London.
