Next week, our Artistic Director Clare Duffy takes to the stage at The Schools & Academies Show London this May.
Joining leading voices from across education and safeguarding, Clare will be part of a panel exploring one of the most urgent challenges facing schools today: the influence of social media and online spaces on pupils, attitudes, behaviours and safety inside and outside of school.
Together with fellow experts, Clare will be discussing the questions schools are tackling right now:
• Are discussions around policy on restrictions on social media for pupils missing the mark?
• How are online spaces influencing the professional and personal lives of pupils such as with misogynistic attitudes or conspiracy theories and what dangers are there if this goes unchecked?
• How much responsibility do schools have for the content their pupils view and create online and how would schools actually be realistically able to intervene if required?
• How curriculum choices can influence pupil skills to effectively navigate these online spaces and avoid being influences by misinformation.
