A very good performance in Dundee City Square last night, on the occasion of a visit by Alyia Gaskins, the mayor of Dundee’s twin town Alexandria in the USA.
It wasn’t long before the American contingent were joined by members of the public, and other visitor’s to Dundee.

We are certainly getting a good reputation for ourselves with overseas visitors to the band.
On Tuesday night we welcomed Kath McTavish who hails from Pasadena in California USA. Kath is a friend of Val’s, who also hails from the US, and now resides in Dundee, Val has been a member of the band for a few years.
Kath plays tenor drum in ‘Pasadena Scottish’, she and her husband, are attending a wedding at Eilean Donan castle.

Dundee City Pipe Band will be closed for the practice session’s on Tuesday the 7th of July and Sunday the 12th of July.

Huge congratulations to ‘Oor amazing wee drummer’ Mya Colquhoun, who was recently awarded with the Trophy for Endeavour, with her extra carricular drumming, with the Dundee Schools.
Mya has been with the band for just over 2 yrs, and is an inspiration to other beginner drummers……We are all proud of her achievements…..Well done Mya……
