About 5 weeks ago I was approached by the Army, who asked if we could supply a lady piper for the forth coming women’s Scotland v England Rugby match, at Murrayfield today.
One of our lady pipers Louise Cassidy without hesitation stepped up and said she would love to do it. And here are pics sent from Murrayfield of Louise playing the guests into Murrayfield. Well done Louise, it was a pity about the score.

Members of Dundee City Pipe Band and Dundee Gaelic Choir, who are both going to Orléans in May to attend the Joan d Arc festival, are seen being presented with cheques from Sally Carus of the Dundee Twin Towns Association……
with Dundee City Pipe Band piper Louise Cassidy, receiving a cheque for £500 on behalf of the band……..

One of our members was surprised last Friday evening in the Invercarse Hotel.
Robert who has been in the band from the start, as a tenor drummer, was having dinner at the “Cornerstone Masquerade Ball “ when he was surprised by a mini band from Dundee City Pipe Band, who then entertained his fellow diner’s.
We knew Robert would be attending, so we surprised him by bringing along his drum and sticks.

Huge congratulations go to Piper Fraser McQueen who recently celebrated his 18th Birthday.
Fraser joined Dundee City Pipe Band in 2018 aged 10, and he has progressed through the different stages from beginner to becoming an ever present in the band. A competent piper, who excels well within the band. A very well mannered wee laddie, who is liked by all his band mates. Happy Birthday Fraser from all at Dundee city Pipe Band……

The Annual General Meeting of Dundee City Band is to be held at 7pm on Tuesday the 17th of February in the Brooksbank Centre, Pitairlie Road, Dundee.
