Charity Highland Dancing Festival

With 8 weeks to go to the annual charity competition in Newtonhill we’re busy preparing special prizes for the dancers and some great fundraising activities for this year’s charity We Too!
If you, your dance school or your business could help with a donation of any kind to the event we’d be delighted to have your support!
All donations big or small will be most welcome, but if you’re looking for inspiration we'd be most grateful to receive offers of:
💚Hampers for a special raffle (or sponsorship to allow us to purchase a hamper on your behalf if that's easier)
💚Sponsorship for the awards for individual categories (around £25 for a group)
Thank you to those who have already been in touch to offer generous support for this event – we’re off to a great start!

We would love to draw the winners of our Patron's passes, so will be closing the competition on Saturday 11th July. Entries are now £5 each. Everyone who has already entered, will be allocated an extra entry!

Already got your tickets for 2026? Fear not....we are now giving the winners of this competition the chance to have their Patron pass held over until 2027. Each winner can choose if they want 2026 or 2027. We are so grateful to those who have entered so far and hoping to conclude this competiton in the next week or so. Ten weeks to go until Cowal Gathering 2026 - and if (when!) it rains, you could enjoy the view from the comfort of the Patron's marque!

Our first Charity Festival fundraiser for We Too!
Cowal Gathering have generously donated TWO Patron packages, meaning there will be two lucky winners of this great prize. A Patron package for 2026 includes the following:
* Complimentary ground entry ticket for Thursday, Friday and Saturday
* Patrons’ rosette
* Access to the Patrons’ Marquee
* Complimentary programme
A fantastic prize for dance families, teachers or anyone with an interest in attending the Gathering.
We will be offering 59 entries priced at £10 each. The winners will be chosen using the UK National Lottery Bonus Ball from the first two draws following the sale of all entries.

🌟Charity 2026 Competition 🌟

We are delighted to announce that this year's Charity competition will be hosted by Kincardine and Mearns Festivals. We are excited for Celeste, Lauren and Kathryn who will be taking the competition up to Newtonhill on 1st November 2026 for the charity We Too.

We Too! is a customer-led charity supporting families of children with disabilities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We wish them the best and we know they’ll make this event special.
