Emancipation Day celebrations in Glasgow this coming saturday featuring Militant Roots HiFi and Nyabinghi drum workshop

This Saturday 1st August Rastafari Scotland will be present for Jamaican Emancipation Day celebrations in Govan, Glasgow 🇯🇲🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

InI will be sharing some word sound and chanting Nyabinghi - rare chance to experience Rastafari izez in Scotland 🔥🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 - A joy for InI to give praises in Glasgow 90years after His Imperial Majesty visited the City

and Ras Jata will be there with cultural shop- roots caravan of selected literature, garments, incense, artworks and other items from Ethiopia and Scotland

In the evening big soundsystem session powered by InI family Michael Carstairs

Going out to everyone who made it to Dub club at Futtle, St Monans last weekend 🥰 Thanks so much to our hosts Futtle for the opportunity and making us feel so welcome - what a great place you have there!

It was great to see everyone dancing, chatting, drifting, playing and sharing the venue ☀️ All about connection ✌️

Plant your tree then come out to these events running in Tayside

DJ Jon Jon at Le freak records Perth Road from 3-5pm with a strictly vinyl selection on Wednesday July 1st

Pick up some bits of wax while you're there 🎶

Then from 7pm down at Canvas we are running all things reggae until 1am

Both events are free entry and it's absolutely class to see more reggae here in Dundee

I've also got a few Hazel saplings if you can plant a tree, let me know and I can bring them 🌱
