Street Choirs Festival Dumfries 2026 It's hosted by SongWave Choir and Cairn Chorus, each based a few miles outside Dumfries.

In its 42nd year the Festival is making its first visit to Scotland to bring choirs together from all over the UK and beyond to sing and enjoy each other's company.

Records of the Crichton Royal Institution in Dumfries now sit in the UK's Unesco Memory of the World Register, alongside the Magna Carta and the Declaration of Arbroath.

If you went home without your black wire framed spectacles, a grey felt glasses case, a black cap (from the 2nd Chartist Workshop), a painted stone, two sets of keys - one on a grey rubber wristband and the other has two keys with a tag saying front door, and an assortment of water bottles, we have them. If you would like them returned please get in touch and it will be arranged.

We are delighted to welcome the Street Choirs Festival 2026 to Dumfries and The Crichton 🤩

We look forward to welcoming over 800 singers from across the UK, who meet up with other singers to take part in this unique, a capella experience.

Look out for this amazing event visiting The Dock Park for outdoor mass singing and the streets of Dumfries!

Eek! It’s tomorrow!
I think I can say we are as ready as we are going to be. Over 800 bags are packed with our splendid brochure and a few goodies. Food is arranged, camping sorted, toilets booked, helpful stewards enlisted, songs learnt, concerts planned, entertainment license at last and accommodation sorted. All that’s left to sort is the weather and unfortunately that’s not within our control.
Bring it on!

If you’re coming to the festival and wondering about getting something to eat - Worry no longer! We have food vans on the lawn on Friday night including fish and chips, pizza, Syrian and bbq in addition to food in Easterbrook Hall all weekend. There will also be Crichton Central - but why am I bothering to tell you this as it’s all on our very informative website! Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free - all catered for!
We think we’ve thought of everything you could possibly need to know, both in the brochure, currently available on the website, and on the website which is constantly being updated with the latest information.
