We would just like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who came to see us at Drumlanrig Castle & Country Estate pumpkin trail we had a wonderful time painting, glittering and hair braiding your lovely kids 😀 we will be back this Friday & Sunday so hopefully see you there. EXPLOSIONS! ROMANS! WORLD WAR TWO SOLDIERS! SCOTTISH CLANS! and lots more!
It's all going on in Annan tomorrow - Sunday 31st August - when The Border Gathering returns by the banks of the river Annan.
It all starts with a mini parade from the Everholm car park at 12.15pm with events starting in the main arena just after 12.30pm.
Attractions include Dumfries Pipe Band, The Antonine Society from the Roman period, Earl of Loudon's 17th. Century Regiment of Foote, World War Two Living History, Scottish clans, craft stalls, Spectrum youth ceilidh band, kiddies rides etc.
And the opportunity for the family to join in the fun - Kelpie races for the youngsters (plus free sunglasses for competitors!) and a Roll The Whisky Barrel challenge for the adults.
For those travelling by car, there is an overflow flow car park at Hecklegirth - look out for the directional signs in the town centre.
Admission: Adults (16 yrs & over) £10. Schoolchildren £5. Concessions £8 Family ticket (2 adults/2 schoolchildren) £25. Under school age Free.
