LORD OF THE MORNING
It is just before dawn
Light, gold and violet
will soon dab the skyline
Sitting, I am absorbed
in the violet silence
Gently concentrated
I wait, knowing that You
The Lord of the Morning
honour this moment
You welcome me into Your Heart
where I find the sanctuary of Affection
O Lord of the Morning
The birth of each day is
the most transparent moment
We cherish this sacred rendezvous
Mind to mind
Heart to heart
Soul to soul
In this private silence
I am immortalised
each day
