Hannah Woollacott was awarded a First Class Honours degree and later a Masters, from Birmingham Conservatoire.

Originally from North Devon, Hannah started learning the guitar with Des Miles and successfully participated in many music festivals and concerts across the county, as well as travelling abroad and performing with the North Devon Guitar Ensemble.

In 2015, she was a finalist in the Birmingham Conservatoire Guitar Prize adjudicated by Chris Stell. Hannah has performed in masterclasses with Xuefei Yang, Marcin Dylla and Craig Ogden among many other distinguished guitarists.

As well as performing regularly as a soloist, Hannah enjoys a busy life as a chamber musician. Hannah has performed in a variety of different ensembles, ranging from a large guitar ensemble of 25 guitarists, to pieces for guitar quartet, trio and duo.

Katie Sazanova holds a Master of Arts degree with Distinction at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance. As a performer, Katie won the Flutes in Tuscany Young Artist competition 2018.

She won the Birmingham Conservatoire Woodwind Prize, has been Highly Commended in the British Flute Society Competition and performed as a finalist in the Doris Newton Club Prize. She was also a finalist in The Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Competition with The Mondelli Wind Quintet. This included a performance recorded live on BBC radio 3.

Our initial event went very well. A great evening of piano from Caroline Clipsham was very well supported and has encouraged us to carry on.

Next up will be a recital in early June. A different musician and a different instrument. A July date is also being finalised.

April 2nd is the date for what it is hoped will be the first in a series of classical music concerts in Dulverton. Caroline Clipsham will give a recital of piano pieces including works by Chopin, Beethoven , Brahms and Rachmaninov.

Caroline has won numerous scholarships and prizes during the course of her lifetime in music. She has performed at the Wigmore Hall and St. John’s, Smith Square in London as well as in performances around Europe, Canada , New Zealand and Eastern Europe.

The venue for the recital will be the premises of Exmoor Studios, in the centre of Dulverton. The building is a converted bank which has been re-purposed as a recording and performance space, with broadcast quality sound and lighting equipment. It is a small, intimate space particularly suited to solo performances of classical music. The performers will not be distanced from the audience, and the personal contact between the music, the player and the audience will be enhanced.

Copies of Caroline’s CD’s and DVD’s will be available for purchase at £10 each.

Tickets are £15.00, to include a glass of wine or soft drink and can be purchased from www.bookwhen.com/classic.
Doors will open at 7.30p, and the performance will begin at 8 p.m. prompt.
There will be an interval and the recital will finish at about 9.30pm.
