We extended the piece onto the shoulder blade with geometric dotwork and bold black lines, designed to follow the shape of the shoulder and make everything flow as one piece.

Phil sat like an absolute champ through one of those seriously tough areas! The shoulder blade and neck are no joke. He really does wear this well.

Neck mandala dotwork.
This is the start of a bigger piece, with the design eventually pushing out over the shoulders and building into the rest of the work.

The neck is a brutal little spot for this kind of detail. Tight space, awkward angles and nowhere to hide.. but Phil absolutely smashed it.

You don’t always need to go super dark for a successful cover-up/blastover

Instead of packing in a heavy design, we used a dotwork blast-over approach to create a completely new tattoo while working with the old one underneath. We’re not looking to cover up the old design just make something more cooler

Cover-ups don’t have to mean compromising on style.. they just need the right design. 🖤
