We are delighted to welcome Sidney Taylor to Arcadia Sculpture Centre this week. Sidney is our first visitor to stay in the new artist cabin on site.

Sidney is a Watson Fellow from the United States pursuing a yearlong self designed project called “How Art Builds Community, How Communities Build Art”. For her project, she is connecting with international communities of artists and engineers to ignite imaginations through collaborative and community focused large scale sculpture builds, and to learn how effective workshops are started, funded, and maintained.

While at Arcadia this week, Sidney is hands on in the studio helping fabricate an orb sculpture. When not in the studio she is exploring the local countryside, and practicing her fiddle.

We are delighted to announce the two selected artists for our upcoming Autumn Artist’s Residencies at Arcadia Sculpture Centre: Deniz Uster .uster and Audrey Grant

We look forward to welcoming Deniz & Audrey to ASC in September and October respectively.

Thank you to all of the artists who applied. We had an amazing response and the standard was extremely high.

We will be announcing the dates for our 2023 Spring, Summer & Autumn residencies at the beginning of next year so please keep an eye out for our listings on and be sure to apply.

We’re still buzzing after a wonderful day celebrating the development of Arcadia Sculpture Centre last Saturday, surrounded by friends, family, neighbours, and members of our local community.

After what seemed like weeks of never ending rain the sun shone for us and we partied into the wee hours.

With a buffet fit for royalty and amazing live music from the super talented Michael Keenan and Scott MacDonald, it was a night we will never forget.

We couldn’t have done it without the help of family and friends who swooped in and helped to make it a truly special event. You are too many to mention but you know who you are. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! ###
