Here are some upper arm coverups I’ve done recently 👨‍🔧
Whether you’ve got old tattoos that you’ve outgrown or ones you’re desperate to forget, there’s nearly always something that can be done.
Not every coverup has to become a half sleeve but all of these clients got better results because they were open to going big enough to really tuck the old tattoos away and have plenty going on around them to take the eye away.

Coverups can be really difficult and it can be difficult to imagine what you could possibly get instead. What I’d encourage before a consultation is to try and think of what you’d want there if the existing tattoo wasn’t there. You don’t need to try and think of how it’ll work as a coverup because that’s my job!

If I can make it work, I will but if not we can discuss alternatives and try to find a solution 🙌🏼

Cracking on with more of this one tomorrow. We have the inner bicep, tricep and elbow to get in then the flowers in colour whilst keeping the rest quite dark black and grey. Love how it’s coming together 🙌🏼

Happy New Year ✌🏼

I love doing an end of year recap because it makes me realise just how much I lack any concept of time. Tattoos I thought I did two years ago were only six months back and vice versa - classic. I’ve started a lot of very fun projects this year and finished a few too. Very lucky to have such a good mix of returning, long term clients and meeting plenty of new ones too and I’m looking forward to seeing what 2026 brings.

John first came to me a few months back wanting a geometric sleeve with a reasonable sized cover-up at the top. He makes Aboriginal dot paintings and so we worked one in amongst the isometric patterns on the inner forearm and I’m happy with how well I think it’s worked there 🙌🏼
It’s always nice to do something a bit different too.
