Rusticus is a provider of fun in the fresh-air for visitors to any venue - a combination of interactive performance, and a good old walk in the great outdoors! We pride ourselves in the excellence of our work, which is designed by founding directors Rebecca Jenkins and Jonathan Stokes, who since 2009 have used their years of professional theatre experience to create exciting experiences which cele

brate the outdoor spaces of a variety of visitor attractions and heritage sites. Our current partners include The Woodland Trust, The Canal & River Trust, Treasure Houses including Castle Howard, Yorkshire, festivals, parklands and communities. Rusticus are the provider of live animation on the My Christmas Trails for Raymond Gubbay and Culture Creative across the UK.

☀️☀️☀️SUMMER SHENANIGANS! We love it when we get to go to a new wonderful natural place for the first time - and this Summer we get to inhabit a bog :) The fabulous Askham Bog managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is re-opening with a brand new boardwalk and Ditzy Dragonfly will be there! The Rusticus Knights are off to the fantastic Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens on Sat 16th and Sun 17th May! 😍Belsay doesn't just have a hall and gardens - it has an amazing quarry garden and it's very own castle!! A perfect setting for our Medieval Knights to meet some eager new recruits 😁Shows are included with standard admission - so if you're in the North East come and see us!!

💥⭐️Run into 2026 like our Boudica :) May you all find the energy to enjoy many more family adventures with us in the new year and beyond!
